1. Fired by RFK Jr.:
Heather Flick Melanson, who was the HHS chief of staff; has worked in two different presidential administrations, according to her profile on the Republican National Lawyers Association website.
Hannah Anderson, who had been the department’s deputy chief of staff for policy. She had also been an adviser to the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions, which is chaired by Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-La.).
Matt Buckham, who was HHS' liaison to the WH, will be the department's acting chief of staff.
The article did not say whether the people mentioned below were the replacements, but mentions (somewhat confusingly):
“Kennedy has also brought on a number of personnel with whom he shares connections, including Lyn Redwood, a nurse who was previously president of Children’s Health Defense, a nonprofit that Kennedy once chaired and that speaks out regularly against current government vaccine recommendations, and Stefanie Spear, who was press secretary for Kennedy’s presidential campaign.”

I think Mr. Kennedy, who has devoted so much of his life to fighting for our health, will never give up.
Dr. Robert Malone posted the above RFK Jr. news on X, which elicited some interesting comments, though I can’t vouch for their authenticity:
2. Now for the Bad News.
Monsanto aka Bayer and other Big Chemical corporations are trying to slip a “liability shield” protection for its product, Glyphosate/Roundup— into upcoming US House appropriations legislation.
As Dr. Meryl Nass writes:
Let me put this into a nutshell:
It is unconstitutional. This liability shield will remove Constitutional protections from American citizens.
It will invariably make us sicker, there will be more cancers, and our food will be more highly contaminated with toxicants.
It will cost the taxpayer more money in healthcare costs.
It is said that Mussolini defined fascism as "the merger of state and corporate power." Are we moving toward this merger?
It benefits no Americans, only the pesticide industry and the German Bayer corporation, which ran its own slave labor concentration camp during World War II and has a long history of unethical behavior.
The only possible reason for Congress to vote in favor of this unconstitutional rider is bribery, and probably a large amount of bribery.
https://merylnass.substack.com/p/bear-with-me-as-i-enumerate-why-the
For those of us who are so acutely aware of the poison that is glyphosate, and particularly for RFK Jr. (who has won landmark cases against glyphosate in court) the people at Children’s Health Defense and others, this is a big blow.
These giant corporations never give up. They have almost infinite money, it seems, and they are counting on a corrupt Congress to squeeze them through.
The pesticide con is going up before the US House Appropriations Committee next Tuesday, July 22. I am so mad about this that I called 10 of the Congress people on the list, below, before my patience gave out. Perhaps you can make some calls, too. It is pretty easy, especially since Dr. Nass has supplied their telephone numbers at the end of her piece, below:

The pesticide liability shield can be stopped at the full Appropriations Committee meeting this Tuesday, July 22. An amendment to remove the rider (Section 453) will be offered and we need a majority
NEED YOUR HELP!!! Below are 12 bullet points as to what is happening. We need a majority to vote to remove. Members will not want constituents to know they voted for Big Chemical
Jul 17
FACT SHEET ON THE PESTICIDE LIABILITY SHIELD
1. Bayer purchased Monsanto in 2018 and took on its liability for glyphosate, the best-selling herbicide in the world. In court, glyphosate has been found to cause non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, and legal victories for "failure to warn" have cost Bayer $10 billion.
2. Since Bayer bought Monsanto, its stock price has dropped 70%, to $8.08 today.
3. As a result, Bayer has used a 6-pronged strategy to get out from under glyphosate's legal liabilities.
4. Its boldest move is to attempt to get Congress to pass legislation shielding it from all legal liability for "failure to warn" of potential injuries--not just for glyphosate, but for all pesticides, herbicides, fungicides and insecticides, now and in future.
5. The only consumer product to have such a liability shield is vaccines, and we know where that has led: to poorly tested and manufactured COVID vaccines with no manufacturer liability for their shoddy products.
6. The proposed liability legislation could even prevent agencies like CDC or NIH from issuing recommendations about the health consequences of pesticide use.
7. Passing such a law is a LOSE-LOSE for American citizens, and the sole beneficiary is the chemical industry. Not only would injured Americans be blocked from seeking damages for injuries from these products' failure to warn of known risks, but a legal liability shield is an invitation to the industry to forego safety testing since it can only hurt them, and to manufacture their products as cheaply as possible.
8. Obviously, a bill like this cannot pass in the light of day. Instead, it must be sneaked through Congress in darkness, before Americans find out what is happening.
9. And so that is exactly what is happening. A rider to provide a liability shield via restrictions to pesticide labeling was slipped into an Appropriations bill 3 days ago with only 24 hours' notice, and the bill language was approved by the Interior Subcommittee the next day, in a strict party line vote, 8 R votes to approve and 5 D votes against the bill.
10. But before the liability shield makes it to the floor of Congress, the bill it was placed in must get through mark-up by the full Appropriations Committee, which will meet on Tuesday, July 22 to vote on the bill, including the pesticide rider.
11. There are 63 members of the full Appropriations Committee. They will not want it known that they voted in favor of giving chemical companies a liability shield. Some of their offices are even denying the bill rider will do that. Shining a bright light on them is what is critical. We need lots of calls!
12. Our job is to tell the Members that the rider (Section 453) must be defeated or removed. They must vote:
a) in favor of an amendment to remove it, which we expect will be offered or
b) they must vote against the Appropriations bill if the liability shield is included.
Here are the names and numbers of the Republican members of the committee. We expect the Democrats will vote against the Appropriations bill, but perhaps some will be induced to vote with the Republicans. We need the members to know the country is watching this! I will add the Democrat members’ phone numbers as soon as I receive them.
At the link below is the full list of members, and below are the R members’ phone numbers:

But! Rep. Cory Booker ( D-NJ) is doing the right thing.
Cory Booker pitches bill to allow lawsuits against pesticide makers over ‘toxic products’
Pesticide Injury Accountability Act would ensure that Bayer, Syngenta and others can be held responsible for allegedly causing health issues
Cory Booker on Thursday introduced legislation that would create a federal “right of action”, allowing people to sue pesticide makers such as Bayer and Syngenta, and others, for allegedly causing health issues such as cancer and Parkinson’s disease.
The Pesticide Injury Accountability Act would “ensure that pesticide manufacturers can be held responsible for the harm caused by their toxic products”, according to a summary of the bill. The legislation would be amended to the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act of 1972 (Fifra).
If passed, the law would turn the tables on efforts by Bayer and a coalition of agricultural organizations as they push for state-by-state legislation blocking individuals from being able to file lawsuits accusing the companies of failing to warn of the risks of their products. The industry has also been pushing for federal preemptive protections against litigation.
So far, two states – Georgia and North Dakota – have passed what critics call “liability shield” laws. The laws essentially declare that the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has oversight of pesticide labeling and state laws cannot permit companies to be held liable for failing to go beyond what the EPA requires in warning customers of potential risks.
Booker’s proposed law would not invalidate the state laws, but would give individuals an alternative – the right to bring their injury claims in federal courts if they can’t bring them in state courts.

(Why is this British journal so often the best source of news for American issues like these?)
And. 😖That same bill that contains “liability shield,” above, also includes:
Chemical industry is going for another shield for PFAS in sewage sludge (the biosolids in your fertilizer) in the same Appropriations bill. Call to stop both.
Stand for Health Freedom makes it easy to send emails as well as call. Do both!

Go to the Stand For Health Freedom website below to send an email to your representatives about the pesticide liability shield.
I just learned from them that the chemical industry is ALSO seeking a “Get Out of Jail, Free” card for Forever Chemicals (PFAS), probably because the EPA issued a draft risk assessment in January noting they were likely carcinogens.
3. A Light in the Tunnel.
I am really liking Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY). He just introduced a bill to eliminate the PREP ACT, that odious piece of legislation which prevents people from suing the vaccine companies for vaccine-related injuries.
Jeff Childers (Coffee and Covid blog) writes it up very nicely:
Prepare for new orders. I couldn’t find a single article reporting this outstanding news. We don’t hate the corporate media nearly enough. But yesterday, Representative Thomas Massie filed a short and sweet bill to repeal the PREP Act. It is exactly what the government needs to start rebuilding trust.
As regular readers are well aware, I am currently suing the federal government over the PREP Act, in Moms for America v. HHS (Northern District of Florida). So I know a little bit about it.
The PREP Act is a 2005 law, quietly passed in the wake of the Anthrax panic, and it provides the legal liability immunity to vaccine makers (and others) for any of their products used during a declared “pandemic.” Injured, disabled, or killed citizens cannot sue vaccine makers even if the vendors lied, but instead may only submit ‘claims’ to a useless and hyper-stingy black box called the “Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program” (CICP).
From what I’ve seen, you’d have better chances by mailing your claim to Wuhan, or stuffing it in Walmart’s suggestions box.
Nothing about PREP makes sense. If a product is “safe and effective,” then why does a manufacturer even need liability immunity? And if it’s not “safe and effective,” what right does the government have to mandate it in a free society?
It’s not exactly a recipe for trust. What national security objective is achieved by forcing citizens to take untested products, eroding trust in all our institutions and making us all outraged at our own government? Our enemies are taking victory laps.
Massie’s bill, which in a sane world should quickly pass and be signed into law (but of course, we’re not in a sane world), said it all in its short preamble:
(1) Liability shields granted under the PREP Act have undermined public trust and accountability during public health emergencies.
(2) The ability of citizens to seek redress for injury or harm is a fundamental principle of justice and due process. (Exactly what my lawsuit argues.)
(3) The PREP Act has enabled regulatory capture and legal immunity for pharmaceutical manufacturers at the expense of individual rights.
This might be the single most important bill since the Declaration of Independence was signed.
💉 So far, Massie is standing alone (again) doing the unpleasant legislative work while others rack up clicks about Ukraine. If they are serious about health freedom, now’s the time to prove it. We don’t need any more soundbites. We need real accountability— and that starts with repealing the law that lets drug companies maim and kill with impunity, then walk away protected by statute.
Here’s the new operation: Mr. Massie needs some co-sponsors. Send your Representative and Senator a quick note of encouragement, if you feel agree. There are two ways, calling (best) or emailing.
☎️ Use House.gov to quickly find your representative’s phone number (put in your zip code at the top of the page). Here’s the script, but feel free to improvise:
Hi, my name is [Your Name], and I’m a constituent from [City or ZIP]. I’m calling to urge Representative [Last Name] to co-sponsor Rep. Thomas Massie’s bill to repeal the PREP Act, HR 4388.
The PREP Act gives total legal immunity to pharmaceutical companies, even when people are harmed. That’s not acceptable. We need real accountability to rebuild public trust.
Please let the Representative know this is an important issue to me and others in our district.
Thank you.
📤 If you prefer, use Democracy.io to quickly send emails to your own representatives based on your address. Or do both! Here’s a handy email script:
Subject: Please Co-Sponsor Rep. Massie’s Bill to Repeal the PREP Act
I’m writing as your constituent to respectfully urge you to co-sponsor Rep. Thomas Massie’s bill to repeal the PREP Act, HR 4388.
The PREP Act grants pharmaceutical companies total immunity—even in cases of fraud or injury—while severely limiting recourse through the CICP. That’s not justice, and it’s certainly not freedom.
If the government truly wants to rebuild public trust in medical policy, accountability must return. HR 4388 accomplishes that by removing blanket immunity and restoring citizens’ ability to seek redress.
Please stand with your constituents—not the pharmaceutical lobby—and co-sponsor this essential legislation.
Thank you,
[Your Name], [Your ZIP Code]
If you joined in the fun, let everyone know in the comments. (And let us know if you remember our victorious 5-a-day calling army.)
Plus, actually repealing PREP would make my job as a lawyer much easier. Just saying.
