It's very helpful to have these simple guidelines in mind before we get sick. When I got 'vid, I didn't have the capacity to calculate in any way; two dear friends in the community brought me what I needed, bagged up, with instructions on the bags. Hash marks on a syringe were extremely helpful.

And, I think it would be similar if I had influenza or any other debilitating virus. Good to be prepared ahead of time.

I seem to have bought some Durvet that is probably a ripoff,it hasn't got measurement marks and my brain can't do the maths. If i were to weigh the paste would you please be so kind as to help me figure out dosage?

Thankyou

All good if AI is correct 1.2 g roughly should be about accurate for 2x12 mg dose for an approx 54 kilo human.

6g for a 12500lb horse...1.2g sound right?

This post from my other SUBSTACK should be helpful. It has pretty detailed instructions on how to use feedstore IVM, and also a link to how to work with the plunger on the Durvet ture.

Though I can't see what you have there, it sounds like you have got the right one.

Yes. The dose of 1.2 grams, in my experience, has worked fine for most adults. You are on the lighter weight end but that should be fine.

It is almost impossible to overdose on ivermectin!

If you look at the blue plunger you will see hatchmarks, the longer of which divide the plunger into 5 sections. Each one of those divisions contains your proper dose.

SO even if the marks have no dosage next to them, once you know that it is quite easy to measure.

I like to put a dose in the middle of a tablespoon or so of unsweetened applesauce. Completely surround the little glob of ivm, then gulp the whole thing down. Hardly taste it!

I understand that feedstore ivm is a least as high quality as the "human" pills.

Good luck! Glad you found it!

Thankyou so much for the reply-i have Durvet ,looks (from china )and it has no notches, might be a rip off version.much appreciate the dosage tips, and reassuring me on the amount AI worked out-i figure i will either weigh it out or get a big 10ml syringe from dr or chemist and measure it that way?

Thankyou so much again!
